This exhibition is the only railroad industry exhibition in France that is officially supported by France. It is also the rail transportation exhibition in Western Europe after InnoTrans. The exhibition is organized by the well-known European Mark exhibition organization, and has received strong support from six major industry organizations such as the French Railway Industry Association (FIF), the French Railway Company (SNCF), the European Railway Infrastructure Research Institute, and the European Tunneling Corporation. The exhibition takes France and French as the center and radiates the global market. It is a well-known professional exhibition in the global rail transportation industry. The exhibition is only open to professionals. 
France International Rail Transit Technology Exhibition is a well-known professional exhibition in the global rail transportation industry, and a good platform for the exhibition of railway products and technologies in Western Europe. France has the second largest railway network in Europe, with a total length of 29,000 kilometers, and it is still expanding. More than 50% of them are electrified railways, and the total length of high-speed railways exceeds 1900 kilometers. At present, 6 cities in France have subway and light rail, and 26 cities are under planning and construction.

The ninth exhibition held in 2015 has made significant progress compared to the previous one, attracting 430 exhibitors from 47 countries to participate in the exhibition, with an exhibition area of 18,000 square meters. Of the exhibitors, 25% came from countries other than France. More than 4,900 professional visitors participated in the exhibition, from 38 countries and regions, of which 15% came from countries other than France. Within three days of the exhibition, the organizing committee held railway-related forums and conferences, including the first French Railway Industry Association Conference, the French Vehicle Supply Conference and the regional awards ceremony. In 2015, the number of exhibitors and visitors is expected to reach a new high.
