Smart Cards Expo Bengaluru IndiaExhibition Introduction

Smart Cards Expo 2016 in New Delhi, India is one of the smart card exhibitions hosted by the well-known Indian electronic magazine Media Today Today. It is held once a year and has been held for 17 times. It is the largest smart card and RFID industry exhibition in India. At the same time, the India Card Exhibition also held the Electronic Security Exhibition, India RFID, Electronic Payment Exhibition and Bioelectronics Exhibition. 200 companies from 28 different countries exhibited their products and services at the Smart Card Technology and Application Exhibition in New Delhi, India. Of these, 85 were from India and more than 100 were from overseas. The total exhibition area reached 7,500 square meters. The India and France pavilions became the two major pavilions of the exhibition. During the exhibition, 4886 professional visitors visited the exhibition and purchased, of which 3300 visitors came from outside India.

The number of exhibitors increased by 14% and the space occupied by exhibitors increased by 10% at the last Smart Card Show and the 2017 Internet of Things India Show and its co-exhibiting fairs.

Internet of Things
According to recent reports from Nasscom and Deloitte, the Internet of Things (IoT) market in India is expected to grow from US$5.6 billion in 2016 to US$15 billion by 2016, thanks to manufacturing, automotive, transportation, and logistics. The IoT ecosystem in India consists of approximately 120 organizations in the value chain. During the same period, the global IoT market is expected to grow more than US$3 trillion, as consumer and industrial applications drive the overall IoT growth.

Security ID Market
While consolidating the current market foundation, secure ID devices are looking for newer application areas. Biometric technology (Aadhaar) replaces smart cards in some government applications, especially government subsidy distribution, is penetrating into new application areas, such as companies, manufacturing, and most importantly the banking and financial industries.

Similarly, RFID applications are growing rapidly-almost reaching a compound annual growth rate of approximately 25%. Its applications are expanding to industrial sectors, manufacturing, healthcare, railways, transportation, retail, automobiles, supply chains, public transportation and other fields.

As mentioned earlier, the compound annual growth rate of the Indian biometrics market from 2015 to 2020 is expected to exceed 35%. The growth of the biometrics market is expected to be due to its widespread use in government applications-e-passports, Visa, unique ID cards under Aadhaar, the integration of biometrics in security systems and the allocation of course government subsidies.

Digital India Initiative
The 'Digital India' initiative was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2001, and aims to connect the entire country with high-speed Internet to ensure the provision of e-government services to the rural population. The initiative also established a cordial and friendly scene in the country for security identification technologies such as smart cards, RFID and biometrics.

The current year-on-year growth of digital transactions in India is close to 40%. According to experts, the transition to digital (electronic/mobile) payments will greatly boost the Indian economy. According to a report by Counterpoint Research, 'India has become the world's second largest smartphone user market with 220 million smartphone users.' Therefore, it is indeed economically significant for an enterprise to have a mobile first/mobile ready platform.
