The 19th Seoul International Machine Tool Show SIMTOS is hosted by the Korean Machine Tool Manufacturers Association and is held every two years in Seoul, the capital of Korea. The exhibition began in 1984 with the sponsorship and support of the Korea Ministry of Science and Technology, the Korea Machinery Industry Promotion Association, the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Corporation, the Korea Trade Association and other organizations. 

The scale of the exhibition in 2018 was 55215 square meters, with 1,130 exhibitors from more than 20 countries around the world. The 2018 Seoul International Machine Tool Fair is expected to be the largest in the history of the exhibition. The exhibition area is planned to be 100,000 square meters. It is expected that more than 800 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors will visit the world.
